Liv Hedges (b.1999) is a multidisciplinary artist, who graduated from the University of Leeds, in 2022, with a Class I BA (Hons) Art and Design degree. Specialising mainly in photography and installation based work, her practice usually relies on public participation to analyse the history and dynamism of socio-political issues.
During the latter of her university years, Hedges’ practice became consumed by feminist culture and the mercurial definition of ‘female’. Her final project, "The Misogynarmoire” (2022), which won her the FUAM Graduate Art Prize People's Choice Award 2022, leaned into this by using a fictional women’s retailer to comment on womanhood through lenses of 1960s fashion, art and language.
More recently, Hedges has worked as a product photographer and designer for some of the UK's leading vintage trading firms, whilst also freelancing photography and design jobs for clients such as the National Film and Television School and the Leeds Tattoo Expo.
